Godzilla vs. Kong TV trailer has King Kong knocked out in new fight streak

A new trailer for an epic monster mash-up Godzilla vs. Kong has been released and further teases the central clash between these two legendary behemoths. While the footage maintains the mystery of why the titular titans fight in the first place, the trailer once again makes Kong the protector against a ‘Raging Zilla.

The recently released images also offer additional insight into some of the human figures, namely Alexander Skarsgård’s Nathan Lind, a geologist who works closely with Kong, Rebecca Hall as Ilene Andrews. We also get a better look at the relationship between Kaylee Hottle’s character, Jia, and Kong. Jia will likely be an integral part of Kong’s role in battle and is shown communicating with Kong using sign language.

Fans are still unsure how the battle between Godzilla and Kong will end, with many being convinced that the clues scattered throughout both trailers suggest a much bigger villain who will bring the conflicting beasts together for the greater good. Regardless, director Adam Wingard has already assured fans that there will be a definitive winner. “I want there to be a winner,” Wingard said of the film’s titular battle. “The original movie was a lot of fun, but you feel a little bit disappointed that the movie didn’t take a final stand.
