Hulu is approaching Predator prequel, Prey it’s just around the corner. It takes us back to the past to show a young Native American man that he meets one another Predator. This is definitely a new approach to franchising. It is minimal and returns to the core of the hunt. The director, Dan Trachtenberg, says that Prey it could only lead to more Predator movies depending on how it unfolds.

Trachtenberg also plans to take the franchise in directions we haven’t seen before. Coming from the director of 10 Cloverfield LaneI totally believe him.

There are a lot of interesting ideas for what could follow in the franchise. The things that excite me the most are the boldest swings and I think there is the possibility of doing other things that have never been done before. Trachtenberg said in an interview for Time Out.

The Predator the franchise desperately needed a major change to reset everything and Prey he seems to be going in that direction. In addition, we hope it will lead to much more Predator movies, especially if there are new approaches to the whole thing.

A skilled Comanche warrior protects his tribe from a highly evolved alien predator who hunts people for sport, fights against savagery, dangerous colonizers and this mysterious creature to keep their humans safe.

Prey arrives on Hulu starting August 5th.
