It may soon be time to play a game on the small screen, as the Seen The adaptation of television series could well happen. In a recent interview with Deadline, Kevin Beggs, President of Lionsgate Television, spoke about the studio’s various projects underway. Although he has yet to get the green light from Lionsgate, Beggs has indicated that discussions are underway to develop Seen like a television series.
“We’re still exploring what we can do on TV with something like the Seen franchise, so it’s a conversation, ”Beggs said.
Lionsgate TV chairman stops before revealing additional information, but Deadline reports that the studio is at the start of talks for a Seen Twisted Television series by Mark Burg and Oren Koules. This follows long-standing rumors that the franchise is moving from film to television, but it’s the potential series that comes closest to becoming reality. It’s possible the studio will make their final decision on a green light based on the success of Spiral: From the Book of Saw in May.

Its story revolves around serial killer John Kramer, also known as Jigsaw Killer, who forces his victims to endure horrific traps in order to potentially escape with their life. The idea is that if the victims manage to survive these “games” or “tests”, they will have been rehabilitated, gaining another chance to be a better person in life.
Initially, the franchise ended with 3D saw, the eighth installment of the franchise, in 2010. It followed a tradition of releasing new films every year since 2004. The franchise got its first reboot in 2017 with the release of Jigsaw, directed by the Spierig Brothers and written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger. Stolberg and Goldfinger also wrote the script for the upcoming sequel, Spiral: From the Book of Saw, which is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. Recently it was reported that a tenth Seen film, provisionally dubbed X saw, is also in preparation.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw The release is scheduled for May 14, 2021. With Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson in the lead roles, the sequel follows a pair of investigators on the hunt for a new round of murders resembling the work of the late Jigsaw Killer (Tobin Bell ).
