Dreamworks Animation recently announced a new 2D horror animated series, Scary Krewewhich will bring a new terror Peacock and Hulu later this year. The series will consist of a 10-episode run and is created by Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever, The House With A Clock In The Walls) and James Frey (Queen & Slim, American Gothic). Roth and Frey also executive produce alongside Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco. Co-executive producers are Shane Acker and Mitchell Smith.
Eli Roth, known for his appreciation of classic horror films and pushing the boundaries of on-screen violence and gore, has horror fans very curious and excited about what he will bring to the table with Fright Krewe. Building tension and creating immersive atmospheres is what Roth does best!
Series log line: An ancient prophecy and a Voodoo queen put misfit teenagers in charge of saving New Orleans from the greatest demonic threat it has faced in nearly two centuries. But honestly? Saving the world might be easier than making friends.
