Sometimes, when your students do a theatrical assignment or an impromptu scene, they will need a prompt to help them choose what kind of relationship their characters will have. Many students, when told to create characters with a “relationship”, believe that they need to write or make a romantic partner, which can be awkward or embarrassing. But don’t be afraid! Below is a list of gender-neutral platonic relationships from which your students can choose:
