In this class project, you need to create your own urban legend to see how fake news can suddenly become dangerous. Sounds pretty easy on a class topic, doesn’t it? Well, when this class discovers a local legend named Lockjaw, a knotty-looking killer who deals with slaughter, the results may be more than some were ready for. When children place a homeless guy in the room with Lockjaw, and the creature kills on a YouTube video, the children get a record number of views. This leads to the need to keep up to get more views and more potential fame.
I’m a big fan of how the makeup design team created a completely spectacular creature that looks like a cross-pollination between Tarman from The return of the living dead and the only creature with teeth and scary from Fraction of a second.
Summary for Where the scary stuff you it goes like this:
Are you ready for Stand by Me or The Goonies with a delicious touch of darkness? The horror begins when Ayla and her high school friends discover a hideous, semi-human mutant. I hold him captive while filming repulsive viral videos, with the hunger for the “like” gang leading him to film the beast that commits criminal acts. When a boy sees that Ayla is using the monster’s horrific violence to solve his own revenge, he threatens to tell the authorities, but is it too late to save his friends?
