The first Twisted metal the trailer is not as long as we hoped. We are introduced to Anthony Mackie and his fully armored vehicle. Along with his 1990s song choices. We also get a quick look at Sweet Tooth down to nothing in the back of his ice cream truck. There’s still not enough to tell if this will be a worthy adaptation.

Anthony Mackie plays the hero of the show and we can’t wait to see the upgrades he’s made to his car. The front machine guns already look very good. So is the apocalyptic war-torn countryside.

The official synopsis for Twisted metal it goes like this:

TWISTED METAL, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action-comedy based on an original performance by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith, about an engine- mouthed alien offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of an axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face off against wild thugs driving wreckers and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown driving an all-too-familiar ice cream truck.
