Teaching students to block theatrically and independently

You need your students to work independently on a stage, but when it’s time to present, they seem to have forgotten everything you taught them. Self-staging of the scene: teaching students to block theatrically and independently provides students with a process to follow to help them produce a fully staged scene with specific dynamic blocking and three-dimensional characters.

Self-staging of the scene provides an in-depth step-by-step process to help students master their scenes – from choosing a scene to analyzing the scenario to presenting it. All the material is geared towards an independent, student-led staging – and you can be as involved or as moving as you want. Evaluation suggestions are provided for each step, or you can only use the Performance Rubric.

Help your students stage their scenes as best they can – and do everything without you!
